Eastern Province Herald - May 23, 1970.
Vorster uttered that “the team with Basil D’Oliviera was not a team of the MCC but a team of the Anti-Apartheid Movement, the team of SANROC, and the team of Bishop Reeves.” The MCC reacted by canceling the tour. The 1969 Australian tour to South Africa was the last. The British Government stopped the 1970 tour to Great Britain while the South African Nuffield Team, scheduled to tour Australia was also prevented from touring.
